Rammus was a mischievous child who took delight in playing tricks on the local villagers. One night, he came across a camel herder and thought it would be funny to stampede their camel away from them.

Unbeknownst to Rammus, a deity had been watching him his whole life, taking note of each foul deed he did. As Rammus laughed at the poor camel herder chasing after his runaway camel, the deity appeared to him. Frightened by the sight, Rammus attempted to flee, but to his horror, his body was covered in a mucus, bloating his body. The deity spoke "You must live as a beast until you are praised as a hero by the very people you tormented. The deity shackled a shell onto his back as a reminder of misfortunes that he caused those he lived with.

As the deity departed from him, only the yellow eyes of Rammus could be seen staring off into the night sky.
