Gnar

Story

Gnar was a very well respected archaologist from Ionia, the land who's natural beauty and long history would coax anyone into unlocking the deeper secrets within. He was known throughout Runeterra as the leading expert on yordle history and evolution, his thirst for knowledge unrestrained as even the libraries of Noxus could not keep him from his goals.

It was no surprise that when there was wind of a new dig site in a remote area of Freljord, said to contain artifacts from ancient yordle past, that Gnar arrived to do some digging of his own. Each new layer of Earth that was explored only uncovered more and more about the area and its history. From ancient cooking tools to weapons to bones, this was clearly a site that had been used for generations and was abandoned without explanation nearly 2500 years ago.

A few days into the dig, Gnar was working in the lower bunk when he found something quite peculiar. It looked like a bone that had been strapped to other bones using pieces of leather. The more he uncovered, the more it looked like a weapon, probably made for hunting more than anything else. As the bone peeked through the dirst, he could hear a roaring fire and distant chanting of ancient yordles of a meal well gathered; it called to him.

As his hand touched the smooth bone, his fingers crept around it and grasped the handle firmly without conscious effort. The feel of it sent shivers down his spine and a rush of electricity down his forearm and into his mind. He could no longer let go of this object no matter how much he tried, his other hand not even able to peel back the fingers as they gripped ever tighter to the weapon and started growing what appeared to be claws and orange fur. His back arched forwards and seemed to compress while extending at the same time, growing out into a large, fluffy orange and blue-tipped tail. Gnar's ears would flatten and widen, growing the same fur as he had all over, the canines in his lower jaw began growing and protruding from his lower lips.

No one knows what happened to Gnar that day. Scientists claimed they saw a small orange and blue yordle leaving the site where he had been working, speaking in an ancient tongue with the only discernable word being "Gnar." Unaware of the link between the dreature and the doctor, Gnar continues to roam the wild lands of freljord, attacking unsuspecting passerby threatening its territory and hunting food for its insatiable appetite. Be wary where you travel, lest you find this fearsome beast.
